Meet Hajar
Hajar Abdul-Rahim is the founder of Quddus Heart. She is completing her Yoga RYT-500 training and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Maine. She also teaches college English in Florida. Polka-Dotted Heart is her first published picture book. Hajar believes true transformation is slow, often painful, and requires hard work. But when pursued with sincerity and a genuine intention to change, it can lead to deeper compassion, mercy, and forgiveness. Her greatest ambition is to return to God with a peaceful heart—an aspiration that inspired her own journey of inner cleansing and growth.
She finds joy in reading and writing stories that nourish the soul—stories that invite her to step into another’s shoes, discover purpose, and learn how to navigate life’s complexities.
Barbara Cooney, the beloved children’s author, wrote in Miss Rumphius: “You must do something to make the world more beautiful.” Inspired by that wisdom, Hajar created Quddus Heart, to help herself and others transform from the inside out, and to return to God with a heart at peace.
